Saudi Arabia to Iceland visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Iceland for tourism. Saudi nationals are not visa-exempt for the Schengen Area, so they cannot use ETIAS and must apply in advance before travel. Iceland is a member of the Schengen Area, and Saudi Arabia is on the Schengen visa-required list. A Saudi ordinary passport holder therefore must obtain a Schengen short-stay (Type C / "C-visa") before traveling to Iceland for tourism; there is no visa-on-arrival and no ETIAS channel (ETIAS applies only to currently visa-exempt nationalities). The visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Iceland does not maintain its own visa mission in Saudi Arabia; Denmark represents Iceland for visa matters, and applications are lodged through VFS Global centres in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar and Dhahran. As of 11 June 2026 the standard Schengen adult visa fee is EUR 90, plus a separate VFS service charge. Applicants must show return flights, accommodation, travel medical insurance with at least EUR 30,000 coverage valid across Schengen, proof of funds, and a passport valid at least 3 months beyond the intended departure with at least two blank pages. While the EU has discussed facilitating visa-free travel for Saudi citizens, no such waiver was in force as of 30 May 2026, so the conservative and correct verdict is visa-required.
