Saudi Arabia to Iraq visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders can get a single-entry visa-on-arrival for Iraq, valid for up to 60 days at a fee of USD 75, available as a GCC national. Saudi/GCC citizens are excluded from Iraq's mandatory eVisa list (the March 2025 eVisa rule targets 37 mostly Western nationalities). An Iraq eVisa and a consular 1-year multiple-entry visa are also available alternatives. As a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member state, Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders are treated favorably under Iraq's visa policy. Saudi nationals are NOT on the list of 37 nationalities subject to Iraq's mandatory pre-arrival eVisa requirement that took effect on 1 March 2025. Instead, GCC nationals retain access to a single-entry visa-on-arrival permitting a stay of up to 60 days for USD 75, issued at Iraqi ports of entry for tourism and certain business activities. A multiple-entry visa valid for up to one year (USD 150, ~72-hour processing) can also be obtained at Iraqi consular posts. The Iraq eVisa is additionally available and many travelers prefer applying online in advance to avoid uncertainty at the border. Note the federal Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan Region operate separate visa systems: the Kurdistan Region (Erbil/Sulaymaniyah) issues a 30-day visa on arrival to GCC nationals separately. Some sources indicate Iraq has been tightening VoA broadly, so carrying confirmation and, ideally, an eVisa obtained in advance is the safest approach. Saudi government advisories caution against travel to parts of Iraq for security reasons.
