Saudi Arabia to India visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit India for tourism, but they qualify for India's convenient e-Tourist Visa (eVisa), applied for entirely online before travel. India does not grant visa-free entry to Saudi Arabian ordinary passport holders for tourism. However, Saudi Arabia is on India's list of nationalities eligible for the e-Tourist Visa (eVisa), so travelers do not need to visit an embassy or get a sticker visa for a short visit. The application is completed on the official Indian government portal (indianvisaonline.gov.in) at least 4 days before travel. Upon approval, an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is emailed; the traveler prints it and presents it at a designated Immigration Check Post, where the eVisa is stamped into the passport. The eVisa comes in three main tourist variants: a 30-day double-entry visa, a 1-year multiple-entry visa, and a 5-year multiple-entry visa, with the 1-year and 5-year options limiting stays to 180 days per calendar year. Fees are country-specific and vary by visa duration (commonly USD 10-25 for 30 days, USD 40 for 1 year, USD 80-200 for 5 years), plus a small bank transaction charge. Processing is fast, typically within 72 hours. The visa is non-extendable and non-convertible. A visa waiver between India and Saudi Arabia exists only for diplomatic/official passport holders, not ordinary passports.
