Saudi Arabia to Ghana visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Ghana, and as of 25 May 2026 this is obtained as an eVisa through Ghana's official portal (evisa.immigration.gov.gh) before travel. Saudi Arabia is not an African Union member, so it does not qualify for Ghana's free electronic travel authorization (ETA); the standard single-entry tourist eVisa costs USD 260. Ghana requires Saudi Arabian ordinary passport holders to hold a visa for tourism. On 25 May 2026 Ghana launched a national eVisa platform that is now the central channel for visa applications. Travelers from non-African-Union countries such as Saudi Arabia apply online for an eVisa, pay the fee, upload documents and receive a digital authorization before departure. The free 90-day ETA introduced at the same time applies only to African Union member states (plus a few designated nations), which does not include Saudi Arabia. A single-entry tourist eVisa is typically valid for 3 months from issue and permits a stay of up to 30 days. Ghana is in West Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Standard processing is roughly 3-5 business days (the portal cites up to 96 hours), with paid priority (48-hour) and express (5-hour) options available. Applicants should hold a passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation details and, in many cases, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, which is required for entry to Ghana.
