Saudi Arabia to Canada visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Canada. You must apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa) before travel. Saudi Arabia is not on Canada's eTA-eligible list, so an eTA is not an option. A Saudi Arabian citizen holding an ordinary passport must obtain a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), commonly called a visitor visa, before traveling to Canada for tourism or a short visit. Saudi Arabia is classified by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as a visa-required country and is NOT included on Canada's Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) eligibility list, so the simpler eTA channel is unavailable. The TRV is applied for online (or on paper) through IRCC; applicants must give biometrics (fingerprints and photo) at a Visa Application Centre. Standard government fees are CAD 100 for the visitor visa plus CAD 85 for biometrics (CAD 185 total). A visitor visa is typically issued as a multiple-entry visa valid up to the passport's expiry or 10 years, whichever is shorter, with each stay normally limited to 6 months as determined by the border officer at entry. Processing times vary widely by application volume and can range from a few weeks to several months, so travelers should apply well in advance. Canada is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
