Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders can enter Bosnia and Herzegovina visa-free for tourism, but ONLY during the summer window of 1 June to 30 September, for stays of up to 30 days. Outside that window a visa is required (or a valid EU/Schengen/US/UK multiple-entry visa). Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of Ministers, on a proposal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (decision announced 22 April 2025), grants seasonal visa-free entry to ordinary passport holders of Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain. The waiver applies every year from 1 June to 30 September and permits tourist/short-visit stays of up to 30 days. The measure was renewed for the 2026 summer season and is treated as a standing annual policy unless the Council amends it. Bosnia and Herzegovina is NOT in the Schengen Area, so neither the Schengen 90/180 rule nor ETIAS applies. Importantly, the waiver is strictly seasonal: travel before 1 June or after 30 September is NOT visa-free — in that case a Saudi traveler needs a short-stay (Type C) visa obtained in advance, OR can enter for up to 30 days if they hold a valid multiple-entry EU/Schengen/US/UK visa or residence permit. As of the reference date (30 May 2026) the summer window opens on 1 June, so a trip starting on/after that date qualifies for visa-free entry; an earlier arrival would require a visa.
