Russian Federation to Zambia visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders need a tourist visa for Zambia. Russia is on Zambia's visa-on-arrival list, so the visa can be obtained at any port of entry (single entry USD 50). Applying online for the eVisa beforehand is recommended for a smoother arrival. As of 30 May 2026, Russia is NOT among the 167 nationalities Zambia exempts from visas (the December 2024 waiver of 53 countries, effective 1 January 2025, did not include Russia). However, Russia IS on Zambia's official list of nationals who may obtain a visa on arrival at any port of entry (Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, and land borders such as Kazungula and Victoria Falls), or from a Zambian mission abroad. The same applicants may alternatively apply through Zambia's official e-Services eVisa portal before travel. A tourist visa is single entry USD 50, double entry USD 80, or multiple entry around USD 80–150; the visa is valid for up to 90 days from issue with stays typically granted for 30 days (extendable). The KAZA Univisa (USD 50, valid for Zambia and Zimbabwe, 30 days) is also available to Russian nationals at designated entry points if visiting both countries. Visa-on-arrival is the best single fit, with the eVisa strongly recommended to avoid queues and confirm eligibility in advance.
