🇷🇺Russian Federation🇻🇳VietnamRU-VN Russian Federation to Vietnam visa requirements
No visa is required. Russian ordinary passport holders can enter Vietnam visa-free for tourism and stay up to 45 days under Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP, valid through 14 March 2028. For stays beyond 45 days, an e-visa (up to 90 days) is available. As of 30 May 2026, citizens of the Russian Federation holding any passport type (including ordinary) are exempt from a Vietnamese entry visa for stays of up to 45 days, regardless of the purpose of entry. This exemption was introduced by the Vietnamese Government's Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP dated 7 March 2025, which took effect on 15 March 2025 and runs until 14 March 2028. No prior application, sticker, or approval letter is needed - the exemption is granted automatically on arrival at any international airport, seaport, or land border crossing, provided the passport is valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages. Travelers should be ready to show onward/return travel and proof of accommodation. The 45-day exemption cannot be extended or converted to another status from inside Vietnam. Russians who wish to stay longer than 45 days, or who want the security of a pre-approved entry document, may apply for the Vietnam e-visa, which permits a stay of up to 90 days with single or multiple entries. Always confirm the policy shortly before travel, as the exemption is periodically reviewed and is currently set to expire in March 2028.
