Russian Federation to Venezuela visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Venezuela. They may enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period under a bilateral visa-waiver agreement in force since 6 March 2009. Citizens of Russia holding an ordinary passport can travel to Venezuela for tourism without a visa, thanks to a reciprocal visa-exemption agreement between the two countries that entered into force on 6 March 2009. The permitted visa-free stay is up to 90 days within a 180-day period, and the stay is extendable once for a further 90 days through the Venezuelan migration authority (SAIME). Venezuela is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. On arrival, travelers are admitted as tourists provided they hold a passport valid for at least six months, proof of onward or return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. No prior visa application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival fee is required for the short tourist stay. Travelers should still confirm current entry conditions with the Embassy of Venezuela in Moscow before departure, since Venezuela periodically adjusts entry formalities and air connectivity between the two countries is limited.
