Russian Federation to Uganda visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Uganda. Apply online in advance for the eVisa (single-entry tourist visa, USD 50) through the official government portal at visas.immigration.go.ug. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry. A Russia (RU) ordinary passport holder is NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Uganda and must obtain a visa before travel. Uganda operates an electronic visa (eVisa) system, and online application is mandatory for visa-prone nationals, including Russians. The standard tourism document is the single-entry Tourist Visa, which costs USD 50, is valid for up to 90 days, and is typically processed in a few business days. Applications must be submitted through the official portal at visas.immigration.go.ug; travelers are warned against numerous fraudulent look-alike websites that charge inflated fees. A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is a strict, mandatory entry requirement for all travelers aged one year and older. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and proof of onward/return travel is required. Travelers planning to combine Uganda with Kenya and Rwanda in one trip may instead opt for the East Africa Tourist Visa (EATV), a USD 100 multiple-entry visa valid for 90 days across all three countries, with the first entry made through the issuing country. Uganda is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply.
