Russian Federation to eSwatini visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to eSwatini. Russia is on eSwatini's visa-exempt list, allowing stays of up to 30 days per entry. Just arrive with a passport valid for at least six months and proof of onward travel. Holders of an ordinary Russian Federation passport are visa-exempt for entry to the Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) for tourism or business. Russia has been on eSwatini's unilateral visa-exemption list since 12 June 2007, granting a visa-free stay of up to 30 days, which can be extended once by a further 30 days at the Ministry of Home Affairs. No visa, eVisa or visa-on-arrival is required for this short stay; the immigration officer grants the entry stamp at the port of entry (King Mswati III International Airport, or land borders such as Ngwenya/Oshoek from South Africa). Note that there is currently no formal visa-on-arrival product in eSwatini for nationalities that DO require visas, so visa-required travelers must apply in advance at an eSwatini mission. Separately, in 2024-2025 Russia and eSwatini negotiated a draft bilateral mutual visa-waiver agreement, but it is not yet in force and is not needed because Russians are already exempt. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least six months with two blank pages, evidence of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Most arrivals into eSwatini transit South Africa first, so check that you also satisfy South African transit/entry rules if routing through OR Tambo.
