🇷🇺Russian Federation🇸🇻El SalvadorRU-SV Russian Federation to El Salvador visa requirements
Russian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for El Salvador. They may enter visa-free for tourism and stay up to 180 days. On arrival they purchase a US$12 tourist card. No prior application is required. El Salvador grants visa-free entry to holders of ordinary Russian passports for short tourist or business visits of up to 180 days. Russia is among the roughly 89 jurisdictions in El Salvador's visa-exemption list. There is no advance visa, eVisa, or pre-arrival authorization to file. Travelers simply present a valid passport at the port of entry (air, land, or sea) and purchase a tourist card for US$12, payable in cash on arrival, which documents the authorized stay. Standard supporting requirements apply: a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, proof of onward or return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. El Salvador is part of the Central America-4 (CA-4) free-movement zone with Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, so the days spent across these four countries are counted together against the permitted period. El Salvador is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Extensions beyond the initial authorized period can be requested from the Directorate General of Migration and Immigration (DGME) inside the country. As always, immigration officers make the final admission decision at the border.
