Russian Federation to Oman visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders can visit Oman visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days per visit (max 90 days per calendar year), under the bilateral visa-waiver agreement that entered into force on 18 July 2025. No visa or eVisa is required for short tourist stays. Since 18 July 2025, citizens of Russia holding ordinary passports enjoy visa-free entry to Oman under a mutual visa-exemption agreement signed in Moscow on 22 April 2025. Russian tourists may enter and stay without any visa for up to 30 days per visit, with a cumulative cap of 90 days within any calendar year. The waiver applies strictly to short-term purposes such as tourism, family/business visits and transit; it does not cover permanent residence, study, or employment requiring a work permit, for which a visa must still be obtained in advance. This replaces the former requirement for Russians to obtain an Oman eVisa. Oman is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. At the border, travelers should carry a passport valid for at least six months beyond entry, evidence of a return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and ideally travel/health insurance. There is no government fee for visa-free entry. Because this is a recent change, travelers are advised to reconfirm with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) eVisa portal or an Omani consulate shortly before departure.
