Russian Federation to Jordan visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders can visit Jordan visa-free for tourism. Under a mutual visa-waiver agreement in force since 13 December 2025, Russians may enter without a visa for up to 30 days per visit, capped at 90 days total within any calendar year. As of 2026, a Russia (RU) ordinary passport holder does NOT need a visa for a short tourist trip to Jordan. This is the result of a bilateral mutual visa-waiver agreement signed in Moscow on 20 August 2025, which entered into force on 13 December 2025. The arrangement allows Russian nationals to enter and stay in Jordan visa-free for up to 30 days per visit, with a cumulative limit of 90 days per calendar year. The waiver covers tourism and private/short visits only; it does not authorize paid employment, business activity, study, or permanent residence, which still require the appropriate visa or permit. Travelers should hold a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond entry, and immigration officers retain discretion to ask for proof of onward travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. Jordan is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. Before the December 2025 agreement, Russians needed a visa (e.g., visa on arrival or the Jordan eVisa via the Ministry of Interior portal); that requirement no longer applies for qualifying short stays, though the eVisa/longer-stay channels remain available for stays or purposes that fall outside the waiver.
