Russian Federation to Bangladesh visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival (VOA) in Bangladesh for tourism. Russia is on Bangladesh's VOA-eligible list. The VOA is single-entry, up to 30 days, costs USD 51 (cash), and is granted at the immigration officer's discretion at major airports and select land ports. Bangladesh does not currently offer a tourist eVisa or visa-free entry to ordinary Russian passport holders, but it does grant a Visa on Arrival (VOA). Russia (Russian Federation) appears on Bangladesh's list of nationalities eligible for VOA for tourism, business, and investment purposes, alongside the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, the GCC states, and European countries. The VOA is single-entry and valid for a stay of up to 30 days (extendable once for a further 30 days at the Department of Immigration and Passports in Dhaka). The fee is USD 51 (or EUR 51), payable in cash only at the airport on arrival. Travelers must present a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation), and sufficient funds (commonly cited as at least USD 500). VOA is available at the three international airports (Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal, Chittagong, Sylhet) and at certain designated land ports. Crucially, VOA issuance is a privilege at the sole discretion of the immigration officer, not a guaranteed right; travelers who want certainty (or who plan to enter at a land border not designated for VOA) should obtain a visa in advance from the Bangladesh Embassy in Moscow. Because issuance is discretionary, conservative travelers are advised to carry full supporting documentation and consider a pre-arranged visa for higher assurance.
