Russian Federation to Angola visa requirements

Russian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Angola. Under Angolan Presidential Decree 189/23 (in force since October 2023), Russia is one of the priority nationalities granted a tourist visa exemption: you may enter visa-free for up to 30 days per entry, with a maximum of 90 days within any single calendar year, for tourism only. Angola eliminated tourist visas for 98 nationalities, including Russia, via Presidential Decree no. 189/23 (signed 29 September 2023, effective October 2023). A Russian ordinary passport holder can therefore travel to Angola for tourism without obtaining any visa in advance and without a visa-on-arrival or eVisa. The exemption allows a stay of up to 30 days per entry, capped at 90 cumulative days within any one calendar year, and is strictly for tourism purposes. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, a confirmed return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and an International Certificate of Vaccination (notably yellow fever, administered at least 10 days before arrival). No visa fee applies. For stays beyond 30 days, business activity, work, study, or residence, a separate visa (e.g. via the Angola eVisa portal or an Angolan consulate) is required.
