Yes. Since 1 October 2025 the online TWAC is mandatory for visa-exempt travelers and must be completed free of charge within 72 hours before arrival at twac.immigration.gov.tw.

Portugal is on Taiwan's visa-exempt list, so holders of an ordinary Portuguese passport can enter Taiwan without a visa and stay up to 90 days for tourism or short business visits.
