🇵🇹Portugal🇹🇼Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)PT-TW Portugal to Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) visa requirements
No visa needed. Portuguese ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Taiwan for up to 90 days for tourism or business. Portugal is on Taiwan's visa-exempt list, so holders of an ordinary Portuguese passport can enter Taiwan without a visa and stay up to 90 days for tourism or short business visits. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months on the date of entry, and the traveler should hold a confirmed onward/return ticket plus proof of sufficient funds. Since 1 October 2025, every visa-exempt arrival must complete the free online Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) within 3 days before arrival; the paper card is abolished. The 90-day visa-exempt stay generally cannot be extended. The exemption applies only to formal (ordinary) passports — emergency, temporary or official/diplomatic passports do not qualify and require a visa.
