Portugal to Türkiye visa requirements
No visa needed. Portuguese ordinary passport holders can enter Türkiye visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Portugal ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt for Türkiye for tourism and business. Per the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ordinary and official Portuguese passport holders may stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa, and no e-Visa is required. Türkiye is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to a Turkey trip — Türkiye operates its own separate 90/180 visa-exemption clock. Portuguese nationals may also enter on a national ID card for short stays. The exemption covers tourism and business only; study, work, or stays beyond 90 days require an appropriate visa obtained in advance. Travelers should hold a passport valid for at least 150 days from the date of entry (60 days beyond the 90-day maximum stay) and be prepared to show a return ticket, accommodation, and sufficient funds. There is no application, fee, or processing time for the visa-free entry itself.
