🇵🇹Portugal🇹🇭ThailandPT-TH Portugal to Thailand visa requirements
Portuguese ordinary passport holders can enter Thailand visa-free for tourism — currently up to 60 days under the visa exemption scheme. No visa is needed in advance; just complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 3 days of arrival. As of 30 May 2026, Portugal is on Thailand's visa exemption list, so Portuguese ordinary passport holders need no visa for short tourist visits. The current scheme grants 60 days visa-free on arrival by air, extendable once by 30 days at a local immigration office. Note an important pending change: on 19 May 2026 the Thai Cabinet approved reverting the scheme — once published in the Royal Gazette (and 15 days later), Portugal will move to the 30-day visa exemption category. Until publication, the 60-day rule still applies, and travellers already admitted keep their granted stay. All arrivals must submit the mandatory, free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days before arrival. Carry a passport valid at least 6 months, proof of onward travel, accommodation, and funds (20,000 THB per person / 40,000 THB per family) which immigration may check.
