Portugal to Brazil visa requirements

No visa required. Portuguese ordinary passport holders enter Brazil visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days, extendable once by a further 90 days (max 180 days per 12-month period). Portugal and Brazil maintain a long-standing reciprocal visa-exemption agreement, so a Portuguese ordinary passport holder needs NO visa for a short tourist or business visit to Brazil. On arrival you are granted a stay of up to 90 days. This can be extended once at a Brazilian Federal Police (Polícia Federal) office for an additional period of up to 90 days, but your combined stays may not exceed 180 days within any rolling 12-month period. Entry is for tourism, family visits and short non-remunerated business only; paid work, study or residence requires a separate visa/permit obtained before travel from a Brazilian consulate in Portugal. Carry a passport valid for the duration of your stay (six months' validity is recommended), and be ready to show an onward/return ticket and proof of accommodation and funds if an immigration officer asks. There is no eVisa, visa-on-arrival fee or pre-travel authorization to file for short visa-free stays. Note: travel is in the opposite direction for the reciprocal arrangement — Brazilians visiting Portugal enter the Schengen Area visa-free and will need ETIAS once it launches, but that does not affect a Portuguese national entering Brazil.
