🇵🇹Portugal🇦🇪United Arab EmiratesPT-AE Portugal to United Arab Emirates visa requirements
No visa needed in advance. Portuguese (EU) passport holders get a free 90-day visa on arrival at any UAE airport for tourism. Portugal is on the UAE's visa-exemption list. As a Portuguese ordinary passport holder you do not need to apply for any visa before traveling to the UAE for tourism or a short visit. On arrival at Dubai, Abu Dhabi or any other UAE airport, immigration stamps a free multiple-entry visit visa allowing a total stay of 90 days, valid for use within 6 months from the date of issue. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry, and you should be able to show a return/onward ticket if asked. The 90-day allowance works on a rolling 180-day basis, similar to Schengen logic; the visa cannot be used for employment or business activity and there is no grace period once the 90 days expire (overstay fines apply from day 91). Extensions are possible in limited cases via the UAE immigration authority (GDRFA/ICP) for a fee.
