Poland to Yemen visa requirements

Polish passport holders need a visa to enter Yemen. There is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival, and the new eVisa is limited to organized tour groups. Apply in advance at the Embassy of Yemen in Warsaw. Note: Yemen is under a Level 4 "Do Not Travel" advisory. A Poland (ordinary passport) holder travelling to Yemen for tourism must obtain a visa before departure. Yemen grants visa-free entry only to Hong Kong SAR passport holders and visa on arrival to roughly 11 mostly Arab/neighbouring states; Poland is on neither list. Yemen launched an electronic visa system on 24 June 2025, but it is currently restricted to tourist GROUP applications (minimum 10 people) lodged by travel agencies accredited with Yemen's General Authority for Tourism, and even approved e-visas require a sticker visa collected from a Yemeni embassy or consulate. For an individual Polish traveller the realistic route is a sticker tourist visa from the Embassy of Yemen in Warsaw: a completed application, passport valid 6+ months, two 4x6 cm photos, a travel-agent letter, a health certificate and arrival/return dates. The single-entry visa costs USD 50, is valid for 3 months, and takes about two weeks to process AFTER approval from immigration authorities in Yemen (which is not guaranteed; the embassy explicitly warns against buying tickets before the visa is issued). Several Yemeni missions have suspended or severely restricted tourist visa issuance, granting entry mainly to people of Yemeni origin, aid workers, journalists and diplomats. Independent of visa formalities, Yemen carries a Level 4 "Do Not Travel" advisory from essentially every major government due to armed conflict, terrorism, kidnapping and landmines, and special permits are needed to travel outside Sana'a or Aden. Yemen is NOT in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
