Poland to United States visa requirements

Polish ordinary e-passport holders can visit the United States for tourism or short business without a visitor visa for up to 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program. They must obtain an approved ESTA before travel. Poland is a U.S. Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country, so eligible Polish citizens with ordinary biometric e-passports may travel to the United States for tourism, visiting friends or relatives, medical treatment, transit, or short business activities for up to 90 days without obtaining a B visitor visa. Travel is not paperwork-free: a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval is required before travel, and CBP still makes the final admission decision at the port of entry. ESTA is normally valid for two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first, and can be used for multiple VWP trips while valid. The FY 2026 ESTA fee is USD 40.27 if approved, made up of a USD 10.27 cost-recovery/application fee plus USD 30 in authorization-related fees; if ESTA is denied, the FY 2026 charge is USD 10.27. Polish passports are listed in CBP's Six-Month Passport Validity Update, so Polish travellers are exempt from the usual six-month rule and need a passport valid for the intended period of stay, though extra validity is prudent. VWP/ESTA cannot be used for employment, credit-bearing study, permanent residence, stays over 90 days, or for travellers made ineligible by the VWP Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act, including certain travel to or presence in listed countries or Cuba on the relevant dates.
