Poland to Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) visa requirements

Polish ordinary passport holders can enter Taiwan visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. No visa or pre-approval is required, but you must complete the free online Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) within 3 days before arrival. Poland is on Taiwan's visa-exemption list, so Polish citizens holding an ordinary passport may visit Taiwan for tourism, business, family visits, or transit for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa in advance. Taiwan is not part of the Schengen area and operates its own independent immigration policy, so the EU Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entry into Taiwan (ETIAS concerns Taiwanese nationals travelling to Europe, not the reverse). Entry conditions are straightforward: a passport with at least six months' remaining validity from the date of entry, a confirmed onward or return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. Since 1 October 2025, all inbound travellers - including visa-exempt visitors - must complete the digital Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) online; this is free and replaces the old paper card. The 90-day visa-exempt stay cannot normally be extended. This information was verified on 2026-05-30 against Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs and National Immigration Agency.
