Poland to Israel visa requirements

Polish citizens do not need a visa for short tourist visits to Israel, but since 1 January 2025 they must obtain an approved ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) online before travelling. It costs ILS 25, is valid for up to 2 years (multiple entries), and allows stays of up to 90 days per visit. Poland is an EU member state and one of roughly 96 visa-exempt nationalities for Israel, benefiting from a long-standing visa-waiver arrangement. Holders of an ordinary Polish passport may enter Israel for tourism, business or study for up to 90 days without a traditional visa. However, since 1 January 2025 the requirement is no longer purely visa-free: every visa-exempt traveler, including Polish nationals, must hold an approved ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) before boarding their flight or arriving at any Israeli border crossing. The ETA-IL is a quick online authorization administered by Israel's Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA). It costs ILS 25, is normally valid for two years or until the passport expires (whichever comes first), and permits multiple entries with stays of up to 90 days each. Israel is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and the EU's ETIAS scheme do not apply to entry into Israel; the 90-day allowance here is governed by Israeli immigration law. Travelers should apply at least 72 hours before booking flights, as most applications are decided within 72 hours. Final admission is always at the discretion of the Israeli border officer, who may issue a paper entry card (instead of a passport stamp) to avoid complications when travelling onward to certain countries.
