Poland to Ghana visa requirements

Polish ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Ghana. As of May 25, 2026, Ghana operates an official online eVisa system (evisa.immigration.gov.gh), and the previous visa-on-arrival scheme has been discontinued. Apply online before you travel; a single-entry tourist eVisa costs about USD 260 with standard 96-hour processing. Ghana is not a visa-free or visa-waiver destination for Polish citizens, and it is not part of the Schengen area, so no 90/180 short-stay rule or ETIAS applies. Poland holds an ordinary passport that is not on Ghana's visa-exempt list (which is limited mainly to ECOWAS and a small number of bilateral-agreement states), so a Polish tourist must obtain a visa in advance. Ghana modernized its system on 25 May 2026, launching a national eVisa portal at evisa.immigration.gov.gh. Non-African travelers, including Poles, apply and pay online and receive the visa by email, typically within 96 hours (standard) or about 5 hours (express). The old visa-on-arrival arrangement has been discontinued, so arriving without a pre-approved eVisa is not an option. The single-entry tourist eVisa costs roughly USD 260 (standard) and grants a stay of up to 30 days; a multiple-entry eVisa costs about USD 468 and can permit longer cumulative stays. An express tier (~5 hours) is around USD 442. Note: African Union passport holders now receive a free ETA instead, but this does not apply to Polish nationals, who pay the standard eVisa fee. A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry to Ghana, along with a passport valid at least 6 months with a blank page, proof of accommodation, and an onward/return ticket.
