Poland to Egypt visa requirements
Polish (EU) passport holders need a visa for Egypt, but can obtain it easily online via the official e-Visa portal before travel. A single-entry tourist e-Visa costs USD 25 and allows a stay of up to 30 days. Egypt is not visa-free for Polish ordinary passport holders, but as an EU member-state nationality, Poland is eligible for Egypt's electronic tourist visa (e-Visa) issued through the official government portal at visa2egypt.gov.eg. The single-entry e-Visa costs USD 25, is valid for 90 days from issue, and permits a single visit of up to 30 days. A multiple-entry e-Visa costs USD 60 and is valid for 180 days, with stays of up to 30 days per visit. Polish travelers may alternatively obtain a visa on arrival at major Egyptian airports (Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, etc.); however, since 1 March 2026 the visa-on-arrival fee increased to USD 30 (a USD 25 sticker plus a USD 5 surcharge), making the online e-Visa the cheaper and more reliable option. A separate concession exists for visitors flying into the Sinai resort airports (Sharm El-Sheikh, Taba, Dahab, Nuweiba): they can receive a free 14-15 day entry-permission stamp, provided they remain within the Sinai resort zone and do not travel further inland (e.g. to see the Pyramids in Cairo). Egypt is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, with at least one blank page. The recommendation is to apply online at least 7 days before departure via the official .gov.eg portal and avoid the numerous look-alike third-party sites that charge inflated service fees.
