Poland to Congo (Dem. Rep.) visa requirements

Polish ordinary passport holders need a visa for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since early 2025 the DRC offers an online eVisa (the "Ordinary Flying Visa"), so most tourists apply electronically before travel rather than visiting an embassy. The Democratic Republic of the Congo (CD) is not visa-free for Polish (PL) citizens and is not part of the Schengen area, so no 90/180 or ETIAS rules apply. Poland is not among DRC's small list of visa-exempt nationalities (mostly neighbouring African states). Since early 2025 the DRC has rolled out an electronic visa known as the "Ordinary Flying Visa," available fully online for short tourist stays. The standard eVisa permits a single entry, a maximum stay of 7 days, and is valid for 90 days from issuance. The core government visa fee is around USD 300; in addition every eVisa traveller must pay a mandatory USD 90 border entry fee (Visa d'Entrée / VAP) on arrival. Third-party application portals add service fees on top. Applicants must provide a passport valid at least 6 months, a recent photo, proof of accommodation (hotel booking) or a legalised letter of invitation, and details of a responsible person or organisation in the DRC. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry. Because security conditions in parts of the DRC are volatile, travellers should also check Polish MFA travel advisories before booking. Default verdict: eVisa (visa required, obtained online).
