🇵🇭PHILIPPINES🇻🇳VIETNAMPH-VN Do Philippines passport holders need a visa to visit Vietnam?
Philippine ordinary passport holders can enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 21 days for tourism or short business under the ASEAN visa-exemption arrangement. As an ASEAN member, the Philippines enjoys a reciprocal visa exemption with Vietnam. Filipino citizens holding an ordinary passport may enter Vietnam without a visa and stay up to 21 days per visit for tourism, family visits, or short business — no application or fee is required. The passport must be valid at least 6 months from the date of entry with at least 2 blank pages. The exemption is per-entry; you can re-enter again after departing, though frequent back-to-back entries may draw scrutiny. For stays longer than 21 days, or to secure a longer fixed period, Filipinos can apply for the online e-Visa (up to 90 days, single or multiple entry) at the official portal evisa.gov.vn. Separately, note Vietnam's new mandatory Digital/e-Arrival Card, which took effect 15 April 2026 and is currently required for arrivals at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City); it is a free online declaration completed within 72 hours of arrival and is independent of visa status.
