🇵🇭Philippines🇺🇬UgandaPH-UG Philippines to Uganda visa requirements
A Philippines ordinary passport holder needs a visa to visit Uganda. The Philippines is not on Uganda's visa-exempt list, so travelers must obtain an eVisa (single-entry tourist visa) online before departure via the official portal visas.immigration.go.ug. The fee is USD 50, and a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. As of mid-2026, Philippine ordinary passport holders are NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Uganda. Uganda's Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control lists the countries exempt from visas (mainly East African Community and certain Commonwealth/island states), and the Philippines is not among them. The March 2026 expansion of visa-free entry to roughly 40 countries also did not include the Philippines. Uganda phased out the traditional visa-on-arrival sticker system in 2016 in favour of a mandatory online eVisa; travelers must apply and receive an approval letter before boarding, then have the visa issued/stamped on arrival. The standard route for a short tourist stay is the single-entry Tourist Visa (eVisa) costing USD 50, valid for entry within 90 days of approval and granting a stay of up to 90 days (commonly stamped for the duration requested, typically 30-90 days). A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is compulsory for entry. Travelers planning to also visit Kenya and Rwanda can instead choose the East Africa Tourist Visa (USD 100, 90-day multiple-entry across the three countries). Always apply only through the official government portal visas.immigration.go.ug to avoid third-party markups.
