Philippines to Somalia visa requirements

A Philippine ordinary passport holder needs a Somalia eVisa (eTAS) before travel. Since 1 September 2025 the electronic travel authorization system is mandatory for foreign tourists, replacing the old visa-on-arrival channel. Apply online at evisa.gov.so before departure. Somalia is NOT visa-free for Philippine passport holders. As of 1 September 2025, the Federal Government of Somalia operates a mandatory electronic visa / electronic travel authorization (eTAS), and all foreign nationals traveling for tourism, business or transit must obtain approval online before boarding. The tourist eVisa is single-entry, costs roughly USD 60-65, and must be approved by email before travel; visa-on-arrival is no longer the standard route for general tourists. The eVisa is valid for entry within 90 days of issue and permits a stay of up to 30 days, extendable in-country. Applicants typically must supply a sponsor/invitation code from a licensed Somali tour agency or registered host. Note: this is a strict travel-warning destination (armed conflict, terrorism, kidnapping risk) and most foreign ministries, including the Philippine DFA, advise against all travel. Somalia is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
