Do Philippines passport holders need a visa to visit PL?
Philippine ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Poland for tourism. There is no visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or eVisa option — the Philippines is on the EU's visa-required (Annex I) list. Poland is a full member of the Schengen Area, and the Philippines appears on the EU's Annex I list of nationalities that require a visa for any Schengen entry. A Philippine ordinary passport holder must therefore obtain a Schengen Uniform (Type C) short-stay visa before traveling to Poland for tourism — there is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival, and no eVisa. The visa allows stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Applications for Poland are lodged through the Polish consular service (e-konsulat) and its outsourcing partner VFS Global in Manila; you must apply in person to give biometrics. The standard EU consular fee is €90 for adults. Because ETIAS is only for visa-exempt nationalities, it does NOT apply to Filipinos — a full Schengen visa remains mandatory. Note the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is now operational (since April 2026), so biometrics are recorded at the border.
