Philippines to Luxembourg visa requirements

Philippines ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Luxembourg for tourism. There is no visa-free, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival option, and ETIAS does not apply to Filipinos. Luxembourg is a member of the Schengen Area, and the Philippines is not on the Schengen visa-exempt list. A Filipino ordinary passport holder traveling for tourism or a short visit must obtain a Schengen Type C (short-stay) visa before departure. The visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Because Luxembourg has no embassy issuing Schengen visas in the Philippines, the Embassy of Belgium in Manila handles applications on Luxembourg's behalf, with biometrics and document submission processed through VFS Global in Manila. The standard adult visa fee rose from EUR 80 to EUR 90 on 11 June 2026, so applications lodged now are charged EUR 90. ETIAS, which became operational across Schengen on 10 April 2026, applies only to visa-exempt nationalities and therefore does NOT apply to Philippine passport holders, who continue to require a full Schengen visa. Applicants must show proof of accommodation, return travel, sufficient funds, and travel medical insurance covering at least EUR 30,000.
