Philippines to Kenya visa requirements

Philippine ordinary passport holders need an approved Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before travel. Tourist visas were abolished on 1 January 2024 and replaced by the eTA for all foreign visitors. Apply online at etakenya.go.ke at least 3 working days before departure. The eTA permits a single entry and a stay of up to 90 days; the government fee is USD 30 (about USD 32.50 with the mandatory bank/service charge). As of 2026, the Philippines is NOT visa-free for Kenya, but there is no traditional visa either. Since 1 January 2024 Kenya scrapped tourist/entry visas for all nationalities and introduced a mandatory Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) applied for online before travel. Filipino tourists must obtain an approved eTA before boarding; it cannot be obtained on arrival. The eTA is processed within about 3 working days (apply up to 90 days ahead, and at least 3 days before travel), is valid for a single entry for tourism/short visits, and authorizes a stay of up to 90 days, extendable in-country. The official government fee is USD 30, with a small mandatory processing/service charge added at payment (total commonly around USD 32.50). Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from entry with at least two blank pages. Applicants upload a passport bio-page scan, a recent passport photo, proof of accommodation/itinerary, and onward/return flight details. Note: in 2025 Kenya relaxed the system and waived the eTA fee for nationals of most African and EAC/visa-exempt states, but the Philippines is not on the fee-exempt list and pays the standard fee. Avoid third-party copycat sites that charge inflated fees (USD 50-85); always use the official etakenya.go.ke portal.
