Do Philippines passport holders need a visa to visit India?

Philippine ordinary passport holders need an Indian e-Visa for tourism — and the 30-day e-Tourist visa is currently FREE (gratis) for Filipinos until 31 July 2026. Filipino tourists cannot enter India visa-free; they must obtain a visa before arrival. The most convenient route is the online e-Tourist visa (e-Visa), applied for via the Government of India portal. Under a special bilateral measure announced by the Embassy of India in Manila, the 30-day e-Tourist visa is granted on a gratis (no fee) basis to Philippine citizens for the period 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026 — a double-entry visa valid for 30 days from first arrival. Longer-duration options remain available for a fee: a 1-year multiple-entry e-Tourist visa (about USD 40) and a 5-year multiple-entry e-Tourist visa (about USD 200), both capping stay at 180 days per year. Apply at least 4 days before travel (up to 30 days ahead); a passport with at least 6 months' validity is required. The e-Visa is non-extendable, non-convertible, and not valid for Protected/Restricted or Cantonment areas.
