Do Philippines passport holders need a visa to visit CZ?

Philippine ordinary passport holders need a Schengen Type C short-stay visa to visit Czechia for tourism. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival option. Czechia is part of the Schengen Area, and the Philippines is NOT on the EU's visa-exempt list. A Filipino ordinary passport holder must obtain a Schengen Type C (short-stay) visa before travelling for tourism. Applications are lodged in person at the VFS Global visa application centre in Manila (or Cebu) on behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, including biometrics (fingerprints + photo). The visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. As of 30 May 2026 the standard adult visa fee is EUR 80, rising to EUR 90 from 11 June 2026. ETIAS (the EU travel authorisation launching in late 2026) does NOT apply to Filipinos because it only covers visa-exempt nationalities — Filipinos must continue using the full Schengen visa. Plan ahead: processing is officially up to 15 calendar days but can extend to 30-45 days in peak season, and applications can be submitted up to 6 months before travel (minimum recommended 3-4 weeks).
