Philippines to Bosnia and Herzegovina visa requirements

Philippine ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina for tourism. The Philippines is not on Bosnia and Herzegovina's visa-exempt list, so you must apply for a short-stay (Type C) visa at a Bosnian embassy or consulate before you travel. One important exception: if you hold a valid (used or unused) multiple-entry Schengen, EU member-state, UK, or US visa or residence permit, you may enter visa-free for up to 30 days. A Philippine passport is not visa-exempt for Bosnia and Herzegovina, so tourists must obtain a Type C (short-stay) visa in advance unless they qualify for the substitute-visa waiver. Bosnia and Herzegovina is an EU candidate country and applies a visa policy modeled on the Schengen system, including the 90-days-in-any-180-days short-stay limit, but it is NOT yet part of the Schengen area, so ETIAS does not apply to it. The most practical path for many Filipino travelers is the substitute-visa rule: holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen, EU, UK, or US visa or residence permit may enter without a Bosnian visa for up to 30 days. Travelers who do not hold such a document must apply at the nearest Bosnian embassy/consulate (Bosnia has limited diplomatic representation in Asia, so applications are often handled via the embassy accredited to the Philippines or a regional mission). The Type C visa allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, costs roughly EUR 60-70, and processing typically takes 7-15 business days. Passports should be valid at least three months beyond the intended departure with two blank pages, and proof of accommodation, funds, return ticket, and travel medical insurance are required.
