Netherlands to Yemen visa requirements

Netherlands passport holders need a visa for Yemen, and standard tourist visas are currently suspended. The Yemeni Embassy in The Hague is only issuing entry visas to people of Yemeni origin and a few professional categories (aid workers, journalists, diplomats). General tourism is not possible, and the Dutch government advises against all travel. A Dutch (Netherlands) ordinary passport holder requires a visa to enter Yemen; there is no visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or open eVisa channel available for individual tourists. As of mid-2026, the Embassy of Yemen in The Hague states that entry visa requests are on hold and are issued only to foreigners of Yemeni origin, staff of international organizations, accredited journalists/media, and diplomats. Yemen launched an electronic visa system on 24 June 2025, but it is restricted to tourist GROUP applications (minimum 10 people) submitted by Yemeni travel agencies accredited by the General Authority for Tourism, with a physical sticker visa still collected from an embassy or consulate. Independent leisure tourism is therefore not viable. The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives Yemen a red travel advisory (do not travel) due to armed conflict, the Dutch Embassy in Sana'a is closed, and Yemen denies entry to anyone with evidence of travel to Israel. Travelers should treat Yemen as effectively closed to tourism and contact the embassy directly for any exceptional case.
