Netherlands to Senegal visa requirements

Netherlands passport holders can currently enter Senegal visa-free for tourist stays of up to 90 days; no visa or eVisa is required before travel as of 30 May 2026. A Dutch ordinary-passport holder does not need a visa for a short tourist visit to Senegal. As an EU national, you may enter and stay for up to 90 days without any visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival. This is confirmed by the official Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advice, which states plainly that no visa is required for travel on a Dutch passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival, and at the border you must show a return or onward ticket and, in practice, proof of accommodation. Senegal is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. One important watch item: in mid-2025 Senegal announced a reciprocity-based electronic visa intended to apply to nationals of countries that require visas of Senegalese citizens (the Netherlands was named among potentially affected states). As of this verification the scheme's practical arrangements (effective date, fees, exact country list) had not been finalised and were not yet being enforced against Dutch travellers, and the official Dutch advice still confirms visa-free entry. Travellers should re-check official sources close to departure in case the eVisa becomes operative.
