Netherlands to Rwanda visa requirements

Dutch passport holders can travel to Rwanda with a visa on arrival, available to all nationalities with no prior application required. You may also apply online for an eVisa in advance through the official irembo.gov.rw portal. The standard single-entry tourist visa (V1) costs USD 50 and permits a stay of up to 30 days. Netherlands ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa arranged before travel to Rwanda for tourism. Since 1 January 2018, Rwanda grants visa on arrival to citizens of all countries without prior application, available at Kigali International Airport and all land borders. The single-entry visitor visa (class V1) costs USD 50 and allows a stay of up to 30 days. Travelers who prefer certainty can instead apply online for an eVisa via the official Government of Rwanda portal (irembo.gov.rw) before departure, paying the same USD 50 fee and choosing standard or expedited processing. Either way, the passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. Rwanda is NOT a Schengen country, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Dutch citizens are not in any of Rwanda's fee-waiver groups (African Union, Commonwealth, La Francophonie, EAC, or the special 90-day list), so the standard USD 50 fee applies. Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from or transiting a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
