Netherlands to Papua New Guinea visa requirements

Netherlands passport holders need a visa for Papua New Guinea, but they can apply online for the Easy Visitor Permit (EVP) eVisa before travel. It allows a 60-day single-entry tourist stay and costs USD 50. Since 1 October 2025, every traveller must also complete the free PNG Digital Arrival Card (PNGDAC) separately before arrival. A Dutch ordinary passport holder traveling to Papua New Guinea for tourism should apply for the online Easy Visitor Permit (EVP), the visitor-class eVisa issued by PNG's Immigration & Citizenship Authority (ICA). The Netherlands is on the EVP eligibility list for the 60-day variant. The eVisa is single entry, costs USD 50, and is normally issued within 1-2 working days (the rules allow up to 10 working days). Papua New Guinea is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. While PNG operates a limited visa-on-arrival scheme at Port Moresby (Jacksons International Airport), the Netherlands is not on the official visa-on-arrival national list, so the reliable, recommended route is to obtain the eVisa online in advance. Separately and in addition to the visa, all travellers must complete the PNG Digital Arrival Card (PNGDAC) online up to 72 hours before arrival; this is mandatory since 1 October 2025 and is not satisfied by holding a visa. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months. Avoid unofficial third-party "PNG eVisa" sites and apply only via the official ICA portal at evisa.ica.gov.pg.
