Netherlands to Oman visa requirements

Dutch (ordinary passport) tourists can enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days. No visa or eVisa is required in advance, provided you carry a confirmed hotel booking, a return/onward ticket, travel health insurance and proof of sufficient funds. Since 16 March 2023, Oman has granted unilateral 14-day visa-free entry to nationals of more than 100 countries, including the Netherlands and all EU/EEA states, to boost tourism. A Netherlands ordinary passport holder traveling to Oman for tourism or a short visit does not need to apply for any visa or eVisa beforehand, as long as the stay does not exceed 14 days. Entry is granted on arrival at Muscat International Airport or other ports of entry with a free entry stamp. The exemption is conditional: travelers must present a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed hotel reservation, a return or onward air ticket, valid travel health insurance covering Oman, and evidence of sufficient funds for the stay. For visits longer than 14 days, Dutch travelers can obtain an eVisa online from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) portal — a 30-day single-entry tourist eVisa costs 20 OMR, and a one-year multiple-entry eVisa costs 50 OMR. A 10-day single-entry eVisa (5 OMR) also remains available. Oman is not part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here. Always reconfirm conditions with the official ROP eVisa portal shortly before travel, as the precise documentary requirements at the border can be enforced inconsistently.
