Netherlands to Czechia visa requirements

No visa is required. As an EU citizen, a Netherlands passport holder enjoys full freedom of movement and can enter Czechia for tourism with no visa, no time limit, and no ETIAS. Both the Netherlands and Czechia are members of the European Union and the Schengen Area, so a Dutch ordinary passport holder travels to Czechia under EU freedom-of-movement rights, not under any visa or visa-waiver scheme. You may enter with a valid passport or national ID card, stay as a tourist with no time limit, and you are not subject to the Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule that applies only to non-EU nationals. Because both countries are inside Schengen, there are normally no systematic border checks when crossing between them. The forthcoming EU border systems do not affect you: ETIAS (the travel authorisation launching for visa-exempt third-country nationals, expected in late 2026) and the Entry/Exit System (EES) apply only to non-EU citizens. EU citizens continue to use their passport or ID card and are exempt. The only formality arises if you intend to stay and reside in Czechia for longer than 3 months (e.g. for work, study, or settling), in which case you should register your residence with the local authorities; this does not apply to ordinary short tourist visits.
