Netherlands to Belize visa requirements

Netherlands ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for a short tourist visit to Belize. You receive a visitor's permit for up to 30 days on arrival. A free online travel declaration (iDeclare) must be completed before arrival, and your passport should be valid for at least 6 months. Dutch citizens are listed as visa-exempt by the Belize Immigration Department and may enter for tourism without a pre-arrival visa. Immigration officers typically grant a 30-day visitor's permit on arrival, which can be extended in 30-day increments (BZ$200 per extension) for a total stay of up to roughly 6 months. Since December 2024, Belize requires all arriving and departing travelers to complete a free digital immigration and customs declaration (the iDeclare / Belize Travel Declaration) online before travel; this generates a QR code presented to border officers. Paper forms were fully phased out by 31 March 2025. There is no visa fee, eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival process involved for short tourist stays. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, a return/onward ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. Belize is in Central America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
