🇳🇱Netherlands🇧🇸The BahamasNL-BS Netherlands to The Bahamas visa requirements
No visa is required. Dutch ordinary passport holders enter the Bahamas visa-free for tourism and may stay up to 8 months. Netherlands ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to visit the Bahamas for tourism. As a European Union member state, the Netherlands is on the Bahamas' visa-exempt list, and Dutch nationals receive a particularly generous allowance of up to 8 months visa-free (longer than the standard 3 months granted to most other visitors). On arrival, an immigration officer grants the entry period and stamps the passport. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months at the time of entry, present a return or onward ticket, show proof of accommodation (hotel booking or a Bahamas address), and demonstrate sufficient funds for the stay. The visa-free entry covers tourism and visiting friends or family only; it does not permit paid work or long-term study. The Bahamas is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. All travelers should also be aware of the separate Bahamas Click2Clear / electronic health and customs declarations that may apply at entry, but no advance visa or travel authorization is needed.
