Netherlands to Bolivia visa requirements

Dutch ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Bolivia. The Netherlands is on Bolivia's Group 1 (visa-exempt) list, allowing visa-free entry for up to 90 days per calendar year. However, every traveler must complete the free mandatory SIGEMIG online migratory pre-registration before arrival. Bolivia classifies the Netherlands in Group 1 of its visa policy, meaning Dutch ordinary passport holders can enter for tourism without a visa. The permitted stay is 90 days per calendar year, and this can typically be extended at a DIGEMIG migration office up to a total of 90 days (and in practice up to 180 days/year through extensions). Bolivia is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. The most important recent change (in force since mid-2025) is SIGEMIG (Sistema de Gestion Migratoria): a free, mandatory online pre-registration that ALL travelers must complete before arrival, generating a QR code presented at the border. Failure to register can result in fines on departure. Travelers should also hold a passport valid at least 6 months, proof of onward/return travel, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate (recommended/required for parts of the country and often checked). No fee applies to the visa-free entry itself.
