Netherlands to Azerbaijan visa requirements

Dutch ordinary passport holders need an Azerbaijan ASAN e-Visa before travel. It is a single-entry visa allowing up to 30 days, applied for online at evisa.gov.az. There is no visa-on-arrival for Dutch citizens. A Netherlands ordinary passport holder cannot enter Azerbaijan visa-free. As an EU citizen, a Dutch traveler is eligible for Azerbaijan's official ASAN electronic visa (e-Visa), obtained online before departure at the government portal evisa.gov.az. The standard e-Visa is single-entry, permits a stay of up to 30 consecutive days, and is valid for entry within a 90-day window from issuance. The standard government fee is USD 20 plus a USD 5 service fee (USD 25 total), processed in up to 3 working days; an urgent option (about 3 hours) costs more. Azerbaijan does NOT offer visa-on-arrival to Dutch citizens, so the e-Visa (or a sticker visa from the Embassy in The Hague) must be secured in advance. Azerbaijan is not part of the Schengen area, so the EU 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended date of entry. Travelers staying more than 15 consecutive days must register their place of stay with the State Migration Service. Note: visitors with evidence of travel to occupied Nagorno-Karabakh / certain Armenia-related entries may be refused.
