🇳🇱Netherlands🇦🇱AlbaniaNL-AL Netherlands to Albania visa requirements
Netherlands ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Albania for tourism. You may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period. As an ordinary Netherlands (EU) passport holder, you can travel to Albania for tourism or a short visit without any visa. Albania grants visa-free entry to all EU/EEA/Schengen and Swiss citizens for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Entry is granted automatically at the border with no application, fee, or pre-registration required. Albania is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the EU's ETIAS authorisation does not apply here; Albania operates its own separate (Schengen-aligned) visa regime. Dutch citizens may enter using a valid passport or a national ID card. Your passport should be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure from Albania and issued within the last 10 years. The visa-free channel is for tourism, family visits, business meetings and similar short stays only; it does not permit paid work or study. To stay longer than 90 days you must obtain a Type D long-stay visa and/or residence permit, as Albania does not grant routine tourist-stay extensions.
