Malaysia to Pakistan visa requirements

Malaysian ordinary passport holders need an online tourist eVisa for Pakistan, applied for in advance through the official Pakistan Online Visa System (visa.nadra.gov.pk). Malaysia is a fee-exempt nationality, so the tourist visa is free, though you still complete the full online application. As of mid-2026, a Malaysian (MY) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Pakistan visa-free or on arrival for tourism. Pakistan suspended both its Visa on Arrival and the free "Visa Prior to Arrival" facility on 1 January 2026, so all eligible travellers must now apply for an electronic visa (eVisa) in advance through the official Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS) at visa.nadra.gov.pk operated by NADRA. Malaysia is among the small group of nationalities (alongside China, Japan, UAE, Saudi Arabia and others) that are exempt from visa fees for all categories except business and work visas, so the tourist eVisa itself is issued gratis (free) for Malaysians, even though most other nationalities pay around USD 75. The tourist eVisa is normally issued for single or double entry, valid for three months from issue, and permits a stay of up to 90 days. Official processing is quoted at 7–10 working days, though applicants sometimes report longer waits. Travellers should apply only on the official NADRA portal, upload a passport (valid 6+ months), a recent photo, hotel booking or invitation, an itinerary and supporting documents, and avoid third-party sites that add charges. Because the no-fee channel still requires a granted eVisa before boarding, the correct verdict is "evisa," not visa-free. Pakistan is not in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
