Malaysia to Belarus visa requirements

Malaysian ordinary passport holders can enter Belarus visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, provided they arrive and depart through one of Belarus's six designated international airports (Minsk National, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, or Vitebsk) and not on a flight to or from Russia. As of mid-2026, Malaysia is on the official list of countries (published by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) whose ordinary passport holders may visit Belarus without a visa for up to 30 days. The waiver is delivered through Belarus's airport visa-free program: you must enter and exit through one of six designated international airports (Minsk National Airport and the airports of Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, and Vitebsk), and the scheme does NOT apply to flights arriving from or departing to the Russian Federation. To qualify, Malaysians need an ordinary passport valid for at least 90 days beyond the planned departure date, proof of financial means (at least 2 base rates per day of stay, or 50 base rates for a full 30-day stay), and a medical insurance policy with coverage of at least EUR 10,000 valid in Belarus for the whole stay. Unlike a short list of nationalities, Malaysians do NOT need to hold a valid EU/Schengen multiple-entry visa. Belarus is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. No advance application or fee is required for visa-free entry; travelers who plan to stay longer than 30 days, enter overland, or transit via Russia must obtain a Belarusian visa in advance.
